I met with this family for a mini session recently, and couldn’t get enough of their gorgeous little red-haired daughter. She’s such a happy little baby! She was such a mama’s girl, and I loved documenting their relationship in this mother-daughter session.

Barbara Hurst: What a wonderful session Jen, love the connection.

Claire: Great location Jen. What beautiful pictures you captured!

Brandi-lee: You always get the best interaction shots, so beautiful!!

My amazing baby is already 5 months old! It truly does not seem like it’s been that long. Time flies when you have a child– doubly so when you have two! He is rolling, sitting, creeping, and today he pulled himself up to standing. I’m trying to tell him that it’s not a race, but he doesn’t seem to be interested in listening. All he cares about is trying to keep up with his big sister!

Speaking of the big sister, she has a boyfriend. They are only 1 day apart and are SO cute together. Of course this means I need photos to save for their future wedding day, right?

This was our most successful session yet! The toddlers had a blast, the baby was happy– all went well. This means I have no funny outtakes to share this time, however.

Cynthia Fowler: Jen, love these. So cute and love the converse. The first photo of the two of them is to die for, especially with her expression and her hand.

Barbara Hurst: I just love this session, clothes choices are wonderfully cute.

Brandi-lee: Fantastic session, soooo many great shots, I love the colours, light and expressions. That first one is priceless!

Love is a beautiful thing! I absolutely loved working with this beautiful couple because everything about them was adorable. The looks they’d give each other, the sweet whispers… I really love everything about engagement sessions– everyone is just so happy and radiant, excited for their future together.

(I’m sorry for the sudden silence on my blog! Things are super busy over here and I’m excited to finally share some of the projects I have been working on. I’ve even been stepping outside of my usual portrait box to stretch my photographic muscles, and it’s been a ton of fun)

Kelly Mack: WOW i love your use of light! It rocks.

Barbara Hurst: Jen your use of the beautiful light is gorgeous.

amy: gorgeous backlighting!! you got some great shots they will be sooo pleased!

Brandi-lee: They look so in love. The lighting adds to the romance, it's beautiful.

There are several photographers out there that I admire. And every so often, one of them comes up with an awe-inspiring post, both funny and educational. And I think to myself, I should mention this on my blog, spread the word, share the love.

Except I never seem to get around to it.

I (try to) follow FlyLady (the only way I can keep my house in some semblance of an order with an infant and a toddler) and today is anti-procrastination day. So I am going to stop procrastinating on sharing these links! (even if it means I’m going to do them all at once).

Happy Reading!

Make Sure You Are In The Pictures
A gem from my friend Stacie Turner, from CT. I touched on this in an earlier post, but she states it with more eloquence.

Are All Photographers The Same? Words of wisdom from the extremely talented Andrea Joki, from Finland. Why photographers are different, and why you might not want to let price dictate who to choose.

How to Pick a Good Photographer Another nugget of wisdom from Amy Ro.

Ok, that’s all I can think of for now. I am sure I am forgetting some….. but they will have to wait until the NEXT anti-procrastination day. :)

kate craft: All very true and wise. Great job getting all this knowledge in one place.

These two kids are so vibrant! Full of laughter, full of energy, full of life. I had such a great time trying to keep up with them. We jumped like crazy, had stick swordfights, rolled in the grass, and talked about who got in trouble more (the jury is still out o that one).

Here are a few of my favorites for the day (it was so hard to pick just a few!)
